IMMERSIVE SOUND DESIGN
Sound You Can Walk Into
The world doesn’t just have a soundtrack. It listens back.
Footsteps change with the ground beneath you. Spaces reshape sound as you enter them. Distance, environment, and player movement all become part of the mix.
THE APPROACH
Every story invites us into a world.
Sound is what convinces us to stay.
I work with independent filmmakers to create sound that supports story, emotion, and place—without asking the audience to notice the work behind it.
For me, world-building starts with a simple question: what belongs here?
Not what can be added, but what this particular place, story, and moment actually need. Sometimes it’s a distant sound that tells us there’s a world beyond the frame. Sometimes it’s a rhythm or texture that becomes part of the place. And sometimes the right choice is to leave room for silence. When sound is doing its job, the audience stops watching. They begin experiencing it.

WE’LL PROBABLY WORK WELL TOGETHER IF…
Your film leans on tension, subtext, and emotional nuance.
You need atmosphere that feels real, not decorative.
You want a post-production partner who listens more than he pitches.
PROBABLY NOT, IF…
You want wall-to-wall explosions just because there’s room for more cowbell.
You want sound that calls attention to itself instead of serving the story.
You just want stock library sounds dropped on your film.
